Cool, you do you. Do you believe in self-defense? If someone was punching someone you loved in the face, repeatedly, would you just stand by and wish they hadn’t had such a terrible upbringing?

I sure hope not. I hope you would intervene and do something to make them stop violently assaulting your loved one. This is no different.
