Daily Trump Binding and Justice Spell

Boosting the #MagicResistance with a Daily Working

It’s been quite the year for the Resistance. We’ve had a number of critical victories—blocking the unconstitutional travel ban (now rescinded—thanks for nothing, SCOTUS), halting the repeal of the ACA, and, most importantly, Mueller’s ever-tightening legal noose around the necks of Benedict Donald’s inner circle as the Trump/Russia probe moves deeper into the Oval Office. His approval ratings are tanking and at historical lows.

And still, no wall.

Those of us who have worked hard to stop the oppressive administration have a lot to be proud of. But a number of recent developments—from the newly reinstated travel ban, the likely passage of the abominable tax “reform” bill, and the gutting of national monuments—show that we still have a huge job ahead of us. Donald Trump will not go down without a nasty, messy fight, and his brainwashed cultist supporters are as deeply up their God Emperor’s ass as ever. They can do a lot of damage on their way into the ash heap of history.

Now is not the time to get complacent, magical people. We need to up our game.

A large number of people in the Bind Trump (Official) Facebook group have been expressing a need for more directed magical action. A number have contributed workings, including full moon rituals, as part of our group efforts. But I, and others, have felt the need for something we can do daily to enhance and further empower our resistance and accelerate the removal of the current criminal kakistocracy.

Instead of reinventing the wheel, I decided to combine a number of workings that members of the #MagicResistance have already incorporated into a simple daily prayer/ritual. As many have noted, there is also a vital need to nourish ourselves and refill our energetic reservoirs, which have been severely taxed by the daily firehose of horror from Cult 45 and the pedophile-defending GOP.

I’ve taken several of our regular magical workings and created a ritual/prayer that I hope will both amplify our binding efforts and replenish and restore our reservoirs of power. The individual rituals are:

This ritual can, and should, be done daily, preferably at the same time each day (sunrise is ideal, but any time is okay—just do it whenever you can). It has few components and takes mere minutes. If you don’t have a permanent altar, you can just set it up and take it down after each ritual. Most importantly, it should leave you feeling charged, energized, empowered, and rededicated to our mutual goals of justice, liberty, love, equality, and peace.

Think of it as a daily boost to the monthly binding rituals. I’ve also appended an “extra bindy” version and some alternate options below, for times when it feels appropriate.

Components

  • White candle, preferably a glass prayer/votive candle
  • Matches or lighter
  • The Trump binding sigil (a charged symbol that encapsulates our overall intention) printed on white paper
  • Justice tarot card (or a printed image of the card)
  • Feather (representing the feather of Maat)
  • Incense (optional); I suggest pure resins, like copal or frankincense, burned on charcoal, but use what you like
  • Trump binding altar sigil and/or pendant (optional)

Optional “extra bindy” components:

  • Orange candle stub with “Donald John Trump” carved into it with a nail or pin, or a black candle with other names as desired
  • 9 inch piece of black thread or string

Preparation

Sigil for printing
  1. If you’re using a prayer/votive candle, print out the sigil (above) at an appropriate size on white paper, cut it out, and use a glue stick to affix it to the candle (see photo at top of article). You can also draw the sigil on white paper and then affix it, or draw it with permanent marker directly on the glass candle holder. If you’re using a plain candle, just print the sigil and place it in front of it, or tape it to the candle (just make sure it’s not near the wick to avoid a fire hazard).
  2. Set up your altar as follows: White candle (center), Justice card (to right of, or propped upright against the white candle), feather (in front of candle). Optionally, wear your sigil pendant or place your altar sigil in front of the candle next to the feather. If you are doing the “extra bindy” working, place the orange or black inscribed candle stub and black thread to the left of the candle.

3. Prepare your incense.

Ritual

(If you tradition includes a traditional opening, circle casting, prayer, banishing, or invocation, do whatever it takes to set the scene for the following ritual)

(Light white candle and incense)

(Sit or stand comfortably with your back straight. Breathe slowly, naturally, and deeply for several minutes until you are in a relaxed, altered state)

(Hold the palms of your hands uplifted and open—optionally, hold the feather of Maat in your right hand as you speak the words of the ritual)

“Hear me, oh spirits*.”

(*Wherever you see the asterisk, feel free to insert your preferred spiritual being(s) or deity(s). Deities commonly related to justice include: Lady Justice (archetypal), Maat, Athena, Jupiter, Eunomia, Ishtar, Hekate, Yahweh, Ganesha, St. Anthony, St. Michael, St. Katharine Drexel, Santa Muerte, Shiva, Themis.)

I ask for thy blessings and protection
Upon me, (say your full name here)
And our brothers and sisters working for Justice
For the poor
The hungry
The sick
The oppressed
And all sentient beings
Who walk, crawl, swim, or fly
Upon our sacred Mother Earth

Give me strength
In body, mind, and spirit
To resist all wickedness
And persist in the great work of healing and liberation

I beseech thee, spirits*
Bind the oppressors
Bind the liars
Bind the abusers
Bind the violent and the warmakers
Bind those who harm the innocent
And excuse the complicit

Bind them all
so that they shall not break our polity
Usurp our liberty
Or fill our minds with hate, confusion, fear, or despair

In the name of Justice
And Liberty
And Love
And Equality
And Peace

For the greatest good of all

So mote it be.

(Sit or stand silently with eyes closed, breathing slowly and deeply)

(When ready, open your eyes, blow out the candle or leave it burning (safely) as an offering for as long as you’d like)

(Ground by shaking your body, stomping your feet, jumping, dancing, and having a bite to eat)

Optional Versions

Biblical verses are regularly employed in many folk magic traditions (hoodoo and conjure in particular), and there’s no better example of righteous rage against injustice than Psalm 109, which you can add to, or substitute for, the ritual above. See below for the full King James Version text.

As Psalm 109 is a potent Biblical curse, as opposed to a binding spell, it is best saved to use against the truly reprehensible, and especially those doing harm under the guise of godly righteousness (accused pedophile and hateful bigot Roy Moore was certainly be an appropriate target—and I directed it toward him on the day he lost the election).

Roy Moore Bound

Extra Bindy Version

To tie this daily ritual to the monthly Trump-focused binding, add the following after the verse “And excuse the complicit.”

(While speaking the lines, wrap the black thread three times around the orange candle stub, each time tying it off in a knot)

And bind, too
Donald J. Trump
And all those who enable his wickedness
And those whose mouths speak his poisonous lies

(Continue with “Bind them all” etc.)

Note: As time goes on, the threads will begin to obscure the candle, symbolizing the ever tightening binding. Unlike the original Trump binding spell, there’s no need to dispose of the orange or black stub each time you perform the ritual. Keep it, wrapped in its thread, until he is removed from office before disposing of it by burial (not near your home), leaving it at a crossroads, or tossing it into moving water.

Psalm 109

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

Let them be before the Lord continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the Lord, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

But do thou for me, O God the Lord, for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.

Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

Pretty hardcore, huh? Psalm 109 is best saved for the truly vile and wicked—like old, self-righteous men who sexually assault underage women while hiding behind the mantle of religiosity. Those types.

Please let me know what you think about this ritual, and if you have any variations or additions you’d like to share, please post in the comments or in the official Facebook group. As with all the spells of the #MagicResistance, this is yours to do with as you wish. Use your energy wisely and for the higher good of all.
